White Rice
Serves 4
- 1-1/2 cups chicken broth
- 3/4 cup long grain rice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dried basil, thyme OR oregano, crushed (optional)
In a saucepan combine broth, rice and salt. If desired, add herb. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 15 minutes or till rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat. Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
